The exhale at the end of a long week

The exhale at the end of a long week

One of my favorite clients was talking about being OVERSCHEDULED all the time.  She mentioned a song stuck in her head “Workin’ for the Weekend” by Loverboy.

Mostly how that WEEKEND feeling was what she was craving…

You know that feeling!  A WHOLE DAY of possibility without every minute full of meetings, calls, projects and commitments- so different than weekdays on the run from the minute you log on until the minute you sit down for dinner – time spent on Other People’s Priorities….

She was DESPERATE for

TIME for HERSELF…. (Yoga, writing, crafting)

AND with her CHERISHED ONES…. (Good friends, her loving partner, sweet pets, close-knit family)

DESPERATE for that feeling of BEING instead of DOING.

How could she create that WEEKEND feeling?

Then we got intentional and dug a little deeper,

  • What was standing in the way of that weekend feeling for a few minutes on a Tuesday?

  • How could there be tiny pockets of time JUST FOR HER – even in the midst of a busy week?

  • Where was she taking on commitments that weren’t hers to pick up?

LIKE MAGIC, we brainstormed a few tiny moments into view.

  • Perhaps 5 minutes between meetings for a couple of yoga poses.

  • A walking phone call instead of tethering to Zoom

  • Leaving 30 minutes for transition from work to cooking dinner.

ALL options within her reach and fit to HER life!
